Data Visualization and Information Design (3) Examines the design of data visualizations, information graphics, and maps. Through creative projects and exercises, students explore techniques for displaying quantitative and spatial data, explaining complex systems, and shaping numbers into stories. Combines studio practice with reading, technical demonstrations, and supporting lectures. AU Core Integrative Requirement: Quantitative Literacy II. Usually Offered: spring. Grading: A-F only. Prerequisite: completion of Quantitative Literacy I requirement. Recommendation: GDES-200 or GDES-270.
