Senior Capstone in Environmental Studies (3) This course is designed to put into practice environmental problem solving by having students articulate, design, research, and implement an environmental assessment or improvement project. A key component of the course is team projects dealing with a real-world, local issues as well as engaging in debates around controversial environmental issues. In addition, students examine the role of science in environmental policy, politics, and communication. In this regard, students have an opportunity to identify issues that are of keen interest to them and have those incorporated into the course. Finally, the course covers a range of professional development topics such as resume and cover letter writing and networking. AU Core Integrative Requirement: Capstone. Usually Offered: fall. Prerequisite: senior standing. Restriction: Environmental Studies (BA) or Environmental Science (BS).
