Introduction to Economic Theory (3) An introduction to the major analytical tools of micro and macro economics, including models of employment, inflation, economic growth and development, international trade, the derivation of supply and demand, the operation of firms under perfect and imperfect competition, and the role of government in society. Usually Offered: fall, spring, and summer. Note: An introductory course in economics is required. No credit toward degrees in the Department of Economics.
