Introduction to Mathematical Economics (3) Review of logarithms and differential calculus. Introduction to matrix algebra with emphasis on economic applications. Comparative static analysis of linear models. Introduction to multivariate differential calculus with applications to optimization in consumer and producer theory. Comparative static analysis of nonlinear models. Introduction to difference equations and analysis of dynamic models. Crosslist: ECON-605. Usually Offered: fall, spring, and summer. Prerequisite: MATH-221.
