Public Economics (3) Theories of taxation, public expenditure, and fiscal policy. Comparison of fiscal institutions in the United States and abroad. Government approaches to income redistribution and poverty: negative income tax, family allowances, etc. Usually Offered: alternate springs (even years). Prerequisite: ECON-100; and ECON-150 or ECON-200.
