Catalog description

The Fed Challenge (1) This course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to participate in the Fed Challenge, a national competition organized by the Federal Reserve System. Students learn to analyze macroeconomic data, develop policy recommendations, and communicate complex economic ideas effectively. The class culminates in a team presentation simulating a briefing to the Federal Reserve's Federal Open Market Committee. The course meets intensively to prepare a Fed Challenge presentation. Usually Offered: fall. Repeatable for credit. Grading: Pass/Fail only. Recommendation: ECON-301 or ECON-401.
