Film Theory and Language (3) This seminar focuses on film theory and criticism as well as the semiotics or language of film. Students deconstruct scenes from feature-length fiction and documentary films for detailed cinematic analysis. They also produce short video essays on a variety of theories, eras, or auteurs. Restriction: Communication: Producing Film, Television, and Video (MA), Film and Media Production (MA), or Film and Media Arts (MFA).
