Political Communication (3) This course examines the role of strategic communication in politics, including the interplay of news, information processing, and electoral and political campaign strategies. The course focuses on how political messaging is disseminated, and digested, and explores how campaigns use public communication principles to appeal to target audiences. Topics include message development, the use of research to inform communication efforts, grassroots and constituency outreach, and how communication outcomes are measured. Crosslist: COMM-439.
