Strategic Communication and Event Management (3) Public relations uses events as a tool to strategically reach the media for maximum impact. This course dives into planning logistics for various corporate and media events, including executive retreats, press and influencer trips, corporate VIP events, media tours, and red carpets. Students learn how to brand an event and create a budget, event timeline, travel tracker, and talent/executive media schedule. The course includes experiential learning by conducting a local site visit to a DC venue. Grading: A-F only.
