Catalog description

Principles of Photography (3) Introduction to basic technical and aesthetic principles of photography, from loading film into a 35mm camera to developing and printing final images in the darkroom. Along with film, students use digital cameras and learn digital printing processes. Students also learn technical, ethical, and historical perspectives of photography. Prerequisite: ARTS-100, ARTS-205, ARTS-235, COMM-105, GDES-200, or GDES-270. Restriction: SOC majors, Audio Production (BA), Graphic and Visual Communication Design (BA), or Graphic and Visual Communication Design (Minor).
