Biochemistry I (3) Biochemistry is the study of the chemistry of life. This course, the first of a two-course sequence, focuses on structures and function of carbohydrates, lipids, amino acids, proteins, DNA and RNA; enzyme kinetics; DNA replication; gene expression and protein synthesis; recombinant DNA technology; and DNA-based information technology.
