Marine Mammals (3) An introduction to marine mammal ecology, social organization, behavior, acoustic communication, and conservation. The course focuses on marine mammals in U.S. waters, including bottlenose dolphin, right whale, gray whale, and West Indian manatee. Current periodical literature and text readings are the basis for discussions. Usually Offered: alternate falls (even years). Prerequisite: BIO-100 or BIO-110 and BIO-210 or BIO-220.
