Introduction to the Arab World FA3 (3) For students who are interested in learning about the Arab Middle East and have little previous knowledge about the region. In this course, the Arab world is defined in its history, geography, and identity. The class discusses what brings these countries together and what differentiates them. The focus is on the economy, gender relations, education, and the impact of globalization on Arab societies. AU Core Habits of Mind: Cultural Inquiry. Usually Offered: fall and spring. Grading: A-F only.
