2 Lab Hours Prerequisites: WLD 102 Description This is an advanced course in shielded metal arc welding procedures to prepare students for industrial certification. Students learn to perform welding techniques such as single V-groove welded butt joints with backing strips in the flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions. All students follow the American Welding Society (AWS) code specifications while performing these skills. This course requires additional fees for testing materials and AWS certification.
