12 Skills Lab Hours Prerequisites: TTF 101 Description This course develops intermediate skills in tile and terrazzo finishing operations with emphasis on substrate evaluation, surface preparation and finishing system performance. Students interpret construction drawings and specifications to determine finishing requirements and installation tolerances. Grout finishing procedures, terrazzo matrix placement support, joint treatment methods and surface protection techniques are explored. Through classroom and laboratory instruction, students operate grinding and polishing equipment, select appropriate abrasives and perform multi-stage finishing procedures while maintaining safety compliance and quality workmanship standards.
