Stage Combat 1: Unarmed Techniques

3 Skills Lab Hours Description In this course, students learn the fundamental techniques and principles of safe and effective unarmed theatrical stage combat. Coursework trains the student actor to recognize safe partnering and execution of falls, strikes, blocks and grappling for the performance of theatrical works including physical conflict. Students are expected to work in close physical proximity alongside other participants in the course. A final exam consisting of the performance of choreographed work is required.
