2 Lab Hours Prerequisites: STI 198 Description This course focuses on the fundamentals of erecting structural steel. Concepts include reading crane charts, sequencing, rigging and structural component assembly. Skills are developed through classroom instruction and hands-on projects. Projects include erecting a two-story steel structure. Evaluations are made using written and performance assessments. Knowledge and application of safe industry practices are emphasized throughout the course.
