3 Lab Hours Prerequisites: PHY 221 Co-requisites: MAT 202 Description This calculus-based physics course stresses experimental and problem-solving techniques. Electricity and magnetism are studied. Topics include electric charge and Coulomb’s Law, electric fields, Gauss’ Law, capacitors and dielectrics, Kirchhoff’s Rules, DC circuits, Oersted Effect, Ampere’s law, Maxwell’s equations and AC circuits.
