2 Lab Hours Prerequisites: MAT 090 Description This is a course for students with little or no high school preparation in physics. Students in programs that require college-level physics should take this course first if they have no previous background in physics. Students examine methods of measurement and problem-solving techniques using hands-on activities in the lab. Students learn the physical concepts of motion, forces, work and energy. In addition, students explore topics such as electricity, waves, optics, atomic and nuclear physics.
