Catalog description

This course provides an overview of major topics in Pennsylvania family law including divorce, child custody and support, equitable distribution of assets and adoption. Students study the Pennsylvania Divorce Code and related rules and procedures. Key responsibilities of paralegals practicing in family law are explored with an emphasis on preparing documents such as divorce complaints, separation agreements, child custody orders and support petitions.
