In this course, students explore the paralegal profession through an overview of the career field, educational requirements, ethical standards, areas of specialization and work environment settings. They examine certifications, professional associations and the roles and responsibilities of paralegals. Students also identify ethical issues that may arise and develop strategies for meeting their educational and professional goals. The course provides foundational knowledge about the paralegal career path and the skills needed for success.
