3 Skills Lab Hours Description This course provides an introduction to audio recording principles and techniques. It covers the physics of sound, analog/digital recording principles and the basic operation of recording studio equipment. Coursework includes the study of microphone selection and placement, recording consoles, signal processing and mixing. Instruction is combined with practical application in a recording studio.
