3 Skills Lab Hours Prerequisites: MEC 103 or Instructor Permission Description This course covers the electronic devices found in common industrial control systems, including semiconductors, relays, gauges and other types of instrumentation and input devices. Students experience devices by disassembling actual pieces of industrial equipment, developing reference documentation, troubleshooting procedures and performing upgrades to account for end of life components. Basic soldering practices and use of electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, signal generators and logic analyzers are covered.
