Catalog description

1 Skills Lab Hours Description This course introduces students to the safe use of tools, equipment and facilities in a makerspace environment. Emphasis is placed on safety protocols, personal protective equipment (PPE) and machine-specific operating procedures. Students complete training modules on access control systems, proper workspace setup and emergency response. Upon successful completion, students earn clearance to independently access makerspace resources for project and course work.
