Catalog description
In this course, students gain practical mathematical skills for industrial careers. Through problem solving, students learn operations with numbers, polynomials and algebraic techniques to solve linear and quadratic equations. Measurement systems, ratio and proportion, graphing, geometry formulas and trigonometric functions are applied to technical problems. Students analyze real-world scenarios through technology-based math challenges. Students gain problem-solving skills that have direct career relevance for fields like manufacturing, construction and logistics. This course is not intended for any transfer degree program.
