Catalog description

This course serves as a comprehensive review and transition for students preparing to become Licensed Massage Therapists (LMTs). Students consolidate their academic knowledge in key areas, including massage and bodywork assessment, business and professionalism, benefits and effects of massage, contraindications and precautions, anatomy and physiology, kinesiology and pathology as they prepare for the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Exam (MBLEx). The course also covers essential professional topics such as Pennsylvania legal requirements, professional ethics and business practices in massage therapy. In addition, students explore professional associations, research and continuing education opportunities to support ongoing professional development.
