16 Skills Lab Hours Prerequisites: ECT 201 Description This course integrates advanced electrical systems and emerging technologies. Fourth-year apprentices at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #5 complete hands-on projects aligned with the Electrical Training Alliance fourth-session curriculum. Emphasis is placed on system installation, testing and troubleshooting involving photovoltaic solar systems, fire alarm systems, structured cabling, programmable logic controllers, instrumentation and building automation. Activities require integration of code requirements, testing procedures, programming procedures and documentation practices.
