14 Skills Lab Hours Prerequisites: ECT 101 Description This course expands on foundational electrical installation skills with emphasis on alternating current systems, transformer applications and electrical safety-related work practices. Second-year apprentices at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #5 perform classroom and hands-on activities aligned with the Electrical Training Alliance second-session curriculum. Laboratory experiences include alternating current circuit construction, transformer assembly, code-based calculations, interpretation of construction plans and application of electrical safety standards.
