3 Lab Hours Prerequisites: BIO 110 or BIO 151 with a grade of “C” or higher Description This is a course in microbiology for students in allied health, nursing and other fields requiring a background in microbiology. Students study microorganisms with an emphasis on those that are pathogenic. Topics include epidemiology, immunology and control of microbes. Basic microbiological laboratory techniques such as principles of asepsis and identification of microorganisms are performed.
