12 Skills Lab Hours Prerequisites: BAC 101 Description This course develops intermediate competencies in construction layout, blueprint interpretation and installation practices used in masonry and allied craft trades. Students interpret construction drawings and specifications to determine layout requirements, installation tolerances and system components. Student activities focus on wall and floor layout procedures, veneer construction, stone setting, tile installation and terrazzo placement fundamentals. Through classroom instruction and laboratory activities, students install reinforcing, flashing and anchorage systems while preparing substrates and constructing assemblies consistent with industry standards and accepted construction practices.
