1 Skills Lab Hours Co-requisites: AVT 101 Description AVT-101L complements the foundational knowledge provided in AVT 101 by offering practical, hands-on experience in a simulated flight environment. This lab employs advanced flight simulators to provide students with realistic scenarios encompassing various aspects of private piloting, from basic airplane operations to handling in-flight emergencies. The lab focuses on enriching students’ skill sets in aerodynamics, meteorological adaptation and navigational practices and cultivating proficiency in Crew and Single-Pilot Resource Management (CRM/SRM). This optional lab aims to prepare students thoroughly for the FAA Private Pilot Knowledge Exam and build foundational skills for future flight training and certifications.
