6 Skills Lab Hours Prerequisites: ATE 230 Description This course provides an expanded study of various engine control systems and components. These include ignition, fuel, mechanical and emission control systems. Students analyze the association between engine sensors and vehicle operation by utilizing diagnostic scan tools. Students further analyze vehicle data parameters to gain a thorough understanding of how the engine operates. Manufacturer diagnostic repair procedures are practiced in a lab setting. Certain course sections are manufacturer-specific.
