Candidates also understand how to develop an IEP according to educational benefit, facilitate an IEP meeting, and collaborate with general education teachers, special education providers, paraprofessionals, and families. In addition, candidates will learn how to use person-centered plans, strengths-based, and functional/ecological assessments across classroom and non-classroom contexts for the purpose of individualized planning.
