Bilingual Education: Foundations and Practice I

Catalog description

is designed to empower residents with an understanding of the philosophical, theoretical, legal, and legislative foundations of bilingual education and the different research-based bilingual program models along with awareness of their advantages, disadvantages, goals, and instructional practices. Throughout this course residents will apply their knowledge of said foundations to think about and work to foster assets-based, culturally and linguistically appropriate learning activities and engagements with families and community.
