In this course, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the structure and evolution of wireless and mobile networks. This course covers technologies and architectures supporting cellular and wireless networks. Students will delve into topics such as protocols and the end-to-end delivery of packets. The course explores differences in core architecture across various generations of cellular and mobile network technologies. Security aspects are a key focus, with discussions on threats and risks associated with wireless and mobile networks. The course also addresses mobile device security models and challenges, emphasizing their implications for privacy and security. Prerequisite(s): C YBR 204 or C INF 203 or permission of instructor.
