In the ever-evolving landscape of cybersecurity, the emergence of generative artificial intelligence (AI) has revolutionized the way we defend against digital threats. This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the field of generative artificial intelligence (AI) and its applications. Students will learn the principles and techniques behind generative models, including neural networks, deep learning, and generative adversarial networks (GANs), and explore their practical use in various domains, such as image generation, text generation, and more. This course will cover the fundamentals of machine learning/AI and generative AI techniques in cybersecurity and the technical background to implement basic AI techniques using Python. Prerequisite(s): C YBR 108 or C INF 108 or I CSI 201, or permission of instructor.
