Catalog description

In an age where cyber threats are evolving at an unprecedented pace, understanding and harnessing the power of data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) are critical for safeguarding digital assets. This course is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to analyze and interpret vast amounts of data, enabling the proactive detection and mitigation of cyber threats. Students will explore the symbiotic relationship between data analytics and AI in the realm of cybersecurity, using data-driven insights to build more robust defense mechanisms. This course will cover the fundamentals of data analytics and AI techniques in cybersecurity and the technical background to implement basic AI techniques using Python. Prerequisite(s): C YBR 108 or C INF 108 or I CSI 201, or permission of instructor.
