Catalog description
In this course, students will gain proficiency in low-level programming languages crucial for cyber operations roles like forensics, malware analysis, and exploit development. This includes constructing programs that interact directly with a system, bypassing the abstraction layers in high-level languages. Additionally, students will be introduced to fundamental data structures such as lists, stacks, queues, trees, and graphs, with a focus on implementation and time-space analysis. The curriculum also emphasizes proficiency in programming systems software, involving close interaction with system hardware using languages like C, known for efficient resource utilization. These skills are vital for effectively managing core resources in cybersecurity applications. Prerequisite(s): C YBR 108 or C INF 108 or I CSI 201; and C YBR 203 and C YBR 350.
