Catalog description

This class provides foundation knowledge and skills for policy practice, including democratic representation, policy development, advocacy, electoral justice, and policy analysis in the US context. Principles of social and economic justice are used in analyzing social policies and programs with emphasis placed on competencies needed to influence policies and services for populations who are at-risk or oppressed. Open to Social Welfare majors and minors and Social Justice Studies minors. Prerequisite(s): R SSW 210. Spring semester only.
