Portuguese for Speakers of Spanish

Catalog description

This course will introduce the speakers of Spanish to the Lusophone (Portuguese-speaking) world. Emphasis will be given to the development of the four skills (speaking, listening, reading, and writing), as well as the appreciation and awareness of Portuguese-speaking cultures. Prerequisite(s): coursework at or above A SPN 201 (previously A SPN 104) or equivalent, or Spanish heritage language background, or permission of instructor. May not be offered in 2024-2025.
