Catalog description

A survey of pragmatism as a philosophical movement in the 19th and 20th centuries. Figures addressed will include the classical pragmatists Peirce, James, and Dewey as well as others. Students who have received credit for A PHI 441 with Topic Pragmatism cannot receive credit for this course. Prerequisite(s): A 300 level course in Philosophy or permission of instructor.
