Catalog description

Are you really free? Is free, intentional action possible? If so, what is it? Are you responsible for your actions? This course offers a critical examination of contemporary topics concerning human freedom and human action. Topics vary with semesters, but typically include free will and determinism, responsibility, the nature of action, and the kinds of obligations that are tied to acting singly and collectively. Only one version of A PHI/T PHI 230 may be taken for credit.
