Catalog description

This course applies the tools of policy analysis to the topic of reform within the criminal justice system. The class covers all aspects of the criminal justice system - police, courts, and corrections - as well as the interplay between the rule of law and the actions of people in society. The class covers major theories of crimes and discusses current topics like the legalization of marijuana and attempts to reduce racial disparities within prisons.
