This course provides a comprehensive exploration of the essential components of nursing quality, informatics, and contemporary healthcare models. Students will delve into the principles and practices that drive high-quality patient care, focusing on how data-driven decision-making and healthcare technologies can enhance outcomes. Emphasis will be placed on understanding and applying quality improvement methodologies, leveraging informatics to improve care delivery, and evaluating various healthcare models. Students will gain insights into how these elements interact to shape effective, efficient, and patient-centered care environments. The course will also address strategies for implementing and sustaining quality initiatives within diverse healthcare settings while considering the ethical and legal implications of healthcare technology and data use. Restricted to students in Nursing B.S. AM program.
