Nursing Practice Across the Lifespan

The course focuses on improving nursing students' understanding of promoting health and well-being throughout the lifespan. Nursing across the lifespan is a crucial aspect of healthcare, as nurses will provide care to individuals in various developmental stages. With a focus on the developmental stages from infancy to older adult, nursing students will play a crucial role in providing clinical care, promoting prevention, and advocating for overall wellness. Students will be able to recognize the unique needs and health requirements at each stage of development. Classroom discussion will equip nurses with the knowledge and skills to provide effective and individualized care disseminated in clinical. Prerequisite(s): C or better in A PSY 101; Corequisite(s): E PSY 224. Restricted to students in Nursing B.S. AM program.
