Catalog description

With an emphasis on documents and testimonies, this course introduces students to the history of Jewish-Christian relations from the first century of the common era through to the start of the twenty-first century. The course focuses both on the history of interactions between Jews and Christians -- persecutions, collaborations, conversions, etc. -- and on the history of theological stances and popular attitudes. Only one version of A JST 270 and A REL 270 may be taken for credit. May not be offered in 2024-2025.
