Catalog description

Recent epidemics and pandemics have raised several important questions. How have people around the world experienced epidemics and pandemics of the past? What have been the most effective ways to respond and why? How have these responses addressed inequalities among individuals and societies? What role do human interactions with animals play in creating epidemics and pandemics? Can people stop the next global pandemic from happening? This course will ask what we can learn from past epidemics and pandemics about these pressing issues.
