Catalog description

Immerse yourself in the world of game development in this hands-on and collaborative course. The primary focus is on taking a game from concept to a fully realized product ready for release on any computing platform. Students form diverse teams, bringing together various skills and backgrounds, and engage in the entire creative process. This journey includes conceptualizing game ideas, pitching concepts, prototyping, rigorous testing, and ultimately delivering a polished game. Throughout this creative process, teams will conduct post-mortems, reflecting on the development cycle and learning from the experience. Additionally, industry experts will provide valuable context through insightful lectures, enhancing the overall understanding of the game development. Prerequisite(s): C GDD 271.
