Catalog description

This comprehensive internship program provides students with a holistic career development experience. It consists of two key components: (1) Internship Experience (120 Hours): Dive into the real world of game design and development by participating in an internship related to your specific interests in the field. This hands-on experience allows you to apply your knowledge and skills in a professional setting. Students are expected to engage in 120 hours of internship work during the semester. (2) Academic Seminar: The academic seminar complements your internship experience by offering a structured space for reflection and learning. Engage in activities and discussions focused on your experiences and general career preparation topics. These activities may include preparing a resume and cover letter, assessing your skills and identifying potential career development barriers, and planning for future education or career advancement. Throughout this course, students are encouraged to identify and secure their own internship opportunities. This process not only aligns your internships with your personal career goals but also equips you with invaluable career preparation skills that will serve you well after graduation. Please note that all internship opportunities must be reviewed and approved by the department before course registration. This course may be repeated for up to 6 credits to further enhance your career readiness. Prerequisite(s): permission of instructor.
