We examine video games through a cultural and sociological lens, exploring how culture, socialization, and values are intricately interwoven with the world of gaming. Despite being a leading economic force in the entertainment and educational domains, video games are often shrouded in stereotypes and anxieties. This course equips students to become fluent in the vocabulary of video game analysis and proficient in addressing the societal issues and misconceptions surrounding them.
